Sysmex Acquires Naming Rights for Kobe’s Only Year-Round Ice Skating Rink

- The New Facility Will be Called as “Sysmex Kobe Ice Campus” -

Sysmex Corporation (HQ: Kobe, Japan; President: Kaoru Asano) has announced that it has concluded a naming rights agreement on November 25, 2024, for a year-round ice skating rink (hereinafter referred to as the “facility”) scheduled to open in June 2025 in Kobe, Japan, with General Incorporated Association Kobe Skate (Kobe, Japan; Representative Director: Junko Hiramatsu; hereinafter referred to as “Kobe Skate”), the operator of the facility. The facility will be called “Sysmex Kobe Ice Campus.”

Based on the mission of “Shaping the advancement of healthcare.” set forth in the corporate philosophy “Sysmex Way,” Sysmex has worked for many years to support people’s health through the field of healthcare. In addition to its business activities, Sysmex, as a company based in Kobe, aims to contribute to a fulfilling and healthy society by promoting sports through the support of Kobe-based figure skaters and the activities of a women’s track and field team, and sponsorship of the Kobe Marathon.

Sysmex has now concluded a naming rights agreement with Kobe Skate for the facility, which will now be called as “Sysmex Kobe Ice Campus.” We acquired the naming rights because we resonate with the philosophy of Kobe Skate’s motto: “Serve as a bridge between Kobe and the world. Elevate Kobe’s sports culture to a new level,” and want to provide a place where people in the community can enjoy skating year-round. We also aim to contribute to fostering athletes, including our own, who continue to take on the challenge of becoming world-class skaters.

We hope that the “Sysmex Kobe Ice Campus,” which bears the Sysmex company name, will become a familiar place for local residents and facility users, and lead to increased recognition of the company and enhanced understanding of our efforts to promote sports.

The facility is scheduled to open in June 2025 as Kobe’s only year-round ice skating rink.

Sysmex will continue to contribute to the realization of a fulfilling and healthy society through the promotion of sports.
