Quality that meets the requisite standards for healthcare products
To assure the requisite level of quality for healthcare products, we require each supplier, upon initiation of a business relationship, to enter into a basic transaction agreement and a quality agreement. This requirement follows confirmation that the supplier has obtained ISO 9001 certification (or maintains a quality management system compliant with ISO 9001) and meets our required standards. Suppliers are requested to adequately assess the safety of their products and, if any nonconformities are identified, to take prompt and appropriate corrective action and report them accordingly.
A reliable supply system
Our products play an essential role in protecting people’s lives and health, making it imperative that supplies are never interrupted. Therefore, suppliers are requested to establish a sustainable supply system that ensures a high level of responsiveness to fluctuating product demand driven by customer requirements, continuously shortens lead times, and guarantees a stable supply of products over the long term.
Technological capabilities that contribute to the development of healthcare
We seek proposals for technologies, processing methods, parts, and raw materials that leverage suppliers’ expertise. Through such proposals, we aim to foster technological innovation that contributes to the development of products and services offering new value to the healthcare industry.
Establishment of stable business foundations and business continuity planning (BCP)
To ensure sustained business transactions, it is essential that suppliers maintain sound business management. Suppliers are requested to disclose their management policies and business conditions (including financial conditions). Furthermore, suppliers are asked to formulate a business continuity plan (BCP) and disclose its details as necessary.
Environmental management for the conservation of the global natural environment
Suppliers are requested to continuously promote initiatives that contribute to the conservation of the global natural environment. These initiatives include implementing environmental management systems compliant with ISO 14001 and other relevant international standards and procuring parts and raw materials with low environmental impact in order to reduce the use of hazardous chemical substances (green procurement).
Suppliers are also requested to monitor data on chemical substances contained in products supplied to Sysmex and to provide the information necessary to ensure compliance with applicable regulations in each country and region.
Supply of products at reasonable prices and proactive cost-reduction initiatives
The prices of parts and raw materials supplied by business partners have a significant impact on the price competitiveness of our products. Accordingly, suppliers are requested to ensure that the prices of parts and raw materials are highly competitive in the marketplace and to engage in proactive and continuous cost-reduction initiatives.
