This award is an extremely prestigious international award, positioned by the WPO as “the major flagship event in the global packaging field” and “the pre-eminent global award.” Winning this award for the horizontally recycled containers, which have been lauded as an advanced form of packaging, demonstrates that Sysmex and ZACROS Corporation, which jointly developed the containers, have been internationally recognized as leaders in resource-circulating packaging innovation. 

Sysmex has adopted an “Eco-Social Strategy” in its long-term corporate strategy, Value Advance 2033, and has been systematically switching to environmentally friendly materials in its products in order to achieve a circular resource value chain. In medical institutions, the focus on environmental considerations and circular resource initiatives has been growing stronger year by year, making these criteria a key factor in determining which companies are selected. In February 2026, Sysmex newly adopted horizontally recycled containers for its CELLPACK™ DST, expanding the container applications to products in the hematology field. Sysmex will continue to pursue a balance between business growth and environmental initiatives , striving to create new value to achieve better healthcare and a sustainable society.
