Sysmex Selected for CDP 2025 “Climate Change” A List
Sysmex Corporation has been selected for the A List, the highest rating (top 4% of all responding companies) in the 2025 survey conducted by CDP, the world's only independent provider of environmental information disclosure. Sysmex's efforts in the area of climate change, based on its eco-social strategy, have been highly praised, and Sysmex has been recognized as a world-leading company in environmental measures.
The relationship between climate change and health is also attracting attention in the healthcare industry, which leads to increasing calls for environmental measures from medical institutions both in Japan and overseas. Recognizing this as an opportunity, Sysmex has set out its eco-social strategy as one of the core strategies in its Long-Term Corporate Strategy, Value Advance 2033, which aims to realize a circular resource value chain and promote transformation to solve social issues.
To date, Sysmex has promoted initiatives such as setting ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets certified by the SBTi, recycling packaging, switching to environmentally friendly materials, and shifting to renewable energy sources for more than 80% of its electricity usage. Additionally, Sysmex is strengthening its response to risks and opportunities related to climate change and natural capital through integrated TCFD and TNFD disclosure, an approach unprecedented in its industry. Through unconventional green innovation, such as realizing closed-loop recycling of used reagent containers, a process previously considered difficult, Sysmex is working to achieve both business growth and climate change countermeasures.
Sysmex will continue to promote green innovation and contribute to the realization of Nature Positive and a sustainable society that aims to restore and regenerate the natural environment.
