Sysmex Corporation has adopted the recommendations of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD)
1, which aims to promote the management of nature-related risks and the enhancement of information disclosure, and has registered as the industry’s first
2 TNFD Adopter
3.
TNFD is expected to play a role in encouraging the transition of corporate activities and the flow of funds toward a nature-positive
4 direction. We view the adoption of the TNFD as both a means to address business risks associated with environmental change and important opportunities to create new business. Under “Sysmex Eco-Vision 2033,” in addition to climate change measures, we will further strengthen sustainable activities based on resource conservation and resource circulation, in order to balance positive impacts on business activities with the conservation of the natural environment.
Since adopting the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) in 2021, we have continued to advance our environmental initiatives, including formulating “Sysmex Eco-Vision 2033,” obtaining SBTi certification for our science-based reduction targets, and developing energy-saving products. We believe that addressing the challenges of climate change and natural capital in an integrated manner is essential to the practice of sustainability management and have now realized integrated disclosure based on the recommendations of both the TCFD and TNFD. In FY2025, we have conducted disclosure focusing on Japan, which includes bases important for risk management, and from FY2026 onward, we plan to sequentially expand disclosure globally to Europe and other regions.
Sysmex will continue to implement green innovation through the collective wisdom and creativity of the Group, contributing to the enhancement of corporate value and the realization of a nature-positive society.
