Sysmex Corporation (HQ: Kobe, Japan; Chairman and CEO: Hisashi Ietsugu) has established a new subsidiary in Ghana. Going forward, the Company aims to reinforce distributor support and expand its business in the markets of West and Central Africa.
Africa’s healthcare infrastructure is advancing in tandem with its economic growth, and healthcare-related markets are expected to expand further.
Sysmex divides the African market into four regions. To date, the Company has provided sales and after-sales service to meet market demand in Northeast Africa through its subsidiary in the Middle East (Dubai), in Northwest Africa through its subsidiary in France, in Eastern and Southern Africa through its subsidiary in South Africa, and in West and Central Africa through EMEA* headquarter in Germany via local distributers.
Sysmex has added support to reinforce its business foundation in the markets of West and Central Africa by establishing a subsidiary in Ghana. This move will enable Sysmex to further reinforce its distributor and customer support. It is also intended to facilitate more full-fledged interaction with international aid organizations and local health ministries, as well as to augment Sysmex’s presence in the markets of West and Central Africa.
Sysmex Partec, which became a subsidiary in 2013, manufactures compact and portable instruments for testing for infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS. The new subsidiary will also provide after-sales support for these products, accelerating the Group’s business expansion.
Going forward, Sysmex aims to augment its sales and support structure in emerging markets and provide Sysmex-specific support services as it strives to contribute to the development of healthcare.
