Sysmex Selected for Inclusion in the “FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index”

Sysmex Corporation has been selected for inclusion in the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index. This is a new index developed by FTSE Russell, a global index provider owned by the London Stock Exchange Group, and is designed to be sector-neutral to reflect the performance of outstanding Japanese companies that demonstrate strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices in relative terms.
Moreover, in order to support a transition to a low-carbon economy, of those companies that emit especially large amounts of greenhouse gases, only companies whose initiatives for improvement have been highly rated by a TPI Management Quality Score* are included in this index.
  • This score is an assessment based on the TPI of a company’s volume of greenhouse gas emissions and the quality of its opportunities and risk management related to the transition to a low carbon economy
Furthermore, the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) has employed this index as a passive operation benchmark, the index serving as a new general ESG index for domestic stocks.

By putting the Sysmex Way, our corporate philosophy, into practice, Sysmex will strive to create value for all stakeholders, and continue with efforts for the sustainable development of the Company and society.
