Sysmex Selected by the Securities Analysts Association of Japan for Excellence in Disclosure to Individual Investors for the Third Consecutive Year

Sysmex Corporation (HQ: Kobe, Japan; Chairman and CEO: Hisashi Ietsugu) was selected for its excellence in disclosure to individual investors at the 2014 Awards for Excellence in Corporate Disclosure, sponsored by the Securities Analysts Association of Japan-the third consecutive year the Company has received this distinction. We also received a letter of commendation for maintaining a high level of disclosure for the past three years.

Sysmex ranked second among the 251 companies in all industries evaluated for their corporate disclosure to individual investors using score sheets and by evaluation committee members.

Reasons for Sysmex's Selection
We were given high marks for our explanations at briefing meetings for individual investors, including our chairman and CEO's explanations in his own words, as well as video distribution of the content of these meetings, easy-to-understand materials incorporating photos and figures, and content that clearly shows individual investors the strength of our business model and revenue structure. We were evaluated highly for the construction of our website for individual investors, where the top page of the investor relations (IR) site clearly indicates a point of entry for individual investors, and a structure that allows for easy searches of our business content and strengths. Our shareholder newsletter scored highly for its good overall balance, its elegance and lucidity, as well as its extensive content.

In the evaluation category of quality of disclosure in each industry, we placed second in our field of medical products. We believe these strong rankings reflect management's proactive efforts to place a high priority on IR, their high level of involvement in IR, and their focus on voluntary disclosure.

Going forward, Sysmex will maintain its basic stance of ensuring fair, prompt, accurate and easy-to-understand disclosure. Furthermore, we will promote IR activities aimed at enhancing corporate value through two-way dialogue with shareholders and investors.
