Ono Factory Bus Tour

Sysmex International Reagents' Ono Factory was visited by elementary school children and their parents/guardians living in Ono City, Hyogo, who participated in the “Demand Bus Tour” organized by Ono City. After listening to a brief outline of the company, they took a tour of the factory, observing robots and an unmanned warehousing system.
Work Experience for Junior High School Students

Sysmex Corporation is a partner of Try-yaru Week, a work experience program for junior high school students in Hyogo Prefecture. Each year, we accept students at the Kakogawa Factory for firsthand experience of components inspection and warehousing/de-warehousing of materials.
In fiscal 2010, Sysmex accepted two students from Kakogawa Ryonan Junior High School from June 7 to 11.
Participating in the Math and Science Education Event for Senior High School Students
The 3rd Science Fair in Hyogo
Sysmex participated in the 3rd Science Fair in Hyogo held in February 2011. This event provides senior high school students in the math and science fields in Hyogo Prefecture with the opportunity to present the results of their research as well as the opportunity to communicate with members of companies, universities and research institutions for planning their future paths.
Sysmex held a special session with its director as a lecturer, explained its proprietary technology, the OSNA method, and demonstrated how ASTRIM measures hemoglobin without blood sampling.

In response to the diverse demands of students, we make a colorful curriculum available at a wide variety of positions so that students may become prepared for their careers and learn about what we do in their area of expertise.

In fiscal 2010, Sysmex received two students from an internship program with Lomonosov Moscow State University in Russia.
The students learned about Sysmex as well as the general corporate culture, organizational structure and management of Japanese companies during their training period of about a month.

Cooperating with the Work Experience Program for New Elementary School Teachers
Experiencing materials acceptance work
Since fiscal 2008, Sysmex has been cooperating with a program designed to provide new elementary school teachers with the experience of working in a private-sector company. In fiscal 2010, Sysmex's Kakogawa Plant received two teachers who were newly assigned to elementary schools in Kakogawa City, Hyogo, for two days on August 17 and 18.
On the first day, the teachers learned about Sysmex and toured the plant. On the second day, they experienced materials acceptance work at the raw materials unloading section. By learning the "repeated check" technique to prevent acceptance errors, the teachers realized the importance of quality control at factories.

In August 2010, Sysmex America held a workplace tour for children. Under a banner proclaiming “Go Green!”, Sysmex America invited 37 children ranging in age from 6 to 12 and provided opportunities to plant flowering plants, build birdhouses and conduct other activities for enhancing their global environment protection awareness.

In fiscal 2010, Sysmex Europe provided funds for procuring uniforms, classroom chairs, etc., for school children through Bong Aid, an organization involved in helping children receive education in the Republic of Liberia in Africa.
