| At Sysmex, the Central Research Laboratories, the Diagnostic System Development Division, and the Reagent Development Division are currently playing the central role in promoting research and development in the fields of laboratory testing and life sciences. At the Central Research Laboratories, the focus is on the creation of new core technologies, mainly in the field of life sciences, by proactively incorporating cutting edge biology and Information technologies. The Diagnostic System Development Division and the Reagent Development Division have been developing new basic technologies, instruments and reagents, mainly for laboratory testing. The Intellectual Property Division and the R&D Strategic Planning Division have been established to enhance total R&D capability and are engaged in strengthening intellectual property strategy, technology strategy and product planning, and also in optimizing the allotment of management resources based on these strategies. |
