    Sysmex Corporation (HQ: Kobe, Japan; President: Hisashi Ietsugu) is soon going to open "Sysmex Kids Park", an in-house daycare center located in Technopark, its research and development base in Kobe's Nishi Ward.
    Sysmex strives to address the various work-related needs of its employees and is endeavoring to build an environment enabling them to give full exercise to their capabilities. As a part of these efforts, it established "Sysmex Kids Park", an in-house daycare center, to support an environment allowing employees with small children to concentrate on their work free from worry about the children, with a view to helping them fulfill obligations both at work and in the family. "Sysmex Kids Park" is going to begin providing services on April 1.

    The city of Kobe and the surrounding area are the site of major Sysmex business establishments, including its instrument factory, reagent factories, and general marketing and after-sales support center as well as its headquarters. It is also the place of residence for many of its employees. Technopark, the R&D base where "Sysmex Kids Park" is located, is situated at the center of this area and has the largest number of employees of any Sysmex establishments.

    "Sysmex Kids Park" is grounded in the belief that active play and a good diet are essential for building the strength needed for healthy living. Featuring play facilities designed by local artists on grounds with a lot of greenery, it is equipped with a pleasant environment to support the children's healthy development. "Sysmex Kids Park" will also take a hand in educating children about food. The center has facilities for cooking meals and snacks on-site, with the appetizing sounds and aromas stimulating the children's interest in food. One part of its garden will be set aside for cultivation of vegetables by the children themselves, to give them opportunities to touch genuine foodstuffs with their own hands.
    "Sysmex Kids Park" will be open until 8:00 PM, the limit for extended daycare, considering the employees' business conditions.

    Thus far, Sysmex has made provisions for childcare leave that can be extended to a maximum of two years and for working the shift and shorter hours until children have finished third grade. In these and other ways, it has expanded measures of support for a well-balanced work style and conditioned the workplace environment so that employees can apply themselves to their job with peace of mind.
    Sysmex is committed to the fuller systemic arrangements and further environmental conditioning to facilitate wider exercise of talents by personnel in diverse circumstances.
