| 2. Reason for the Revision |
 |
In October last year, we released the newly laboratory information system featuring enhanced operability and functionality in comparison to its previous version. When installing a new system, there are always some test parameters that need to be customized for each user. The newly released system is capable of providing many such test parameters as part of its basic functions. In addition, delivery capabilities have been improved through efforts that started last fiscal year to ensure efficient project management: These efforts include standardization of delivery operations and training programs for engineers to raise their skill levels.
As a result of such efforts, delivery dates (man-hours) have been shortened from the plans, and projects that were planned to start in the second half started in the first half. Consequently, sales, as well as ordinary income and net income, for the first half are expected to increase.
Looking at the full year forecast, ordinary income and net income are expected to fall below those forecasted in the interim financial report, although sales, ordinary income and net income are expected to exceed the forecasts previously announced. This is because while striving to improve results in the second half, we will devote our energies to the development of new packaged products that will help the company to continue growing, and accordingly expenses will increase compared to those for the first half. |
Note:
Statements made in this document include forward-looking statements about the future performance of CNA Co., Ltd. based on management’s assumptions and beliefs in light of information currently available, and involve both known and unknown risks and uncertainties.
