The Japanese Red Cross Society has been taking steps to improve quality control and enhance the efficiency of its operations in order to ensure a safe and stable supply of blood, which supports the healthcare system in Japan. It is also currently working on a project to consolidate the testing departments of Red Cross blood centers located throughout the country. In total, the blood centers test more than 6 million blood samples each year. The Red Cross Society has been looking for a highly reliable device with a high throughput, which would enable the testing departments to perform high-quality tests efficiently after the completion of the consolidation process.
Our XE-2100D automated hematology analyzer, which the Japanese Red Cross Society has decided to adopt for all of the consolidated testing departments, has the world’s highest throughput and allows users to test 150 samples per hour. Therefore, it is fully capable of providing the kind of performance required by the newly consolidated departments. In addition, the product enables users to perform extensive quality control by providing services such as online support through remote access and an online quality control service.
The Japanese Red Cross Society has used our products since 1986 and already regards both our products and services highly for their quality control and quality assurance. It was this high regard that led to the package order for our XE-2100D analyzers.
Sysmex remains committed to making a significant contribution to the realization of a safer and more stable supply of blood, which the Japanese Red Cross Society aims to establish.
