We are engaged in a variety of philanthropic and social improvement activities in our home city of Kobe.
One of these is our participation in the Kobe Medical Industry Development Project, whose goal is to make medical-related industrial clusters more active. As part of this framework, we are involved in state-of-the-art R&D in collaboration with healthcare enterprises, universities, and research institutes, both domestic and overseas, as well as local hospitals and clinics, with the aim of creating a hub to disseminate new medical services and improve medical technologies in other Asian countries.
In 1978, as an academic contribution to medicine, we started sponsoring the annual Sysmex Hematology Seminar, where doctors from both at home and abroad who are involved in the cutting edge of medical research can share their latest findings in hematology. Recently, we have started organizing seminars at overseas sites as well, to contribute to worldwide healthcare development.
In December 2005 we established the Sysmex Women’s Track & Field Team, with a view towards supporting staff members as well as talented athletes, including Athens Olympic Games marathon gold medalist Mizuki Noguchi, thereby helping to create a fulfilling and healthy society through the promotion of sports.
In 2011, we will cooperate with the Kobe Marathon as a special sponsor, an event that is a symbol of Kobe's restoration from the Great Hanshin Earthquake. |
